Our Verdict
I recently spent a week putting the SmartXE 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal through its paces to see if it could actually handle the demands of modern mobile content creation. From walking shots to tracking moving subjects, I tested how the SmartXE stabilizes footage for both iPhone and Android users.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality of the SmartXE feels robust enough for daily carry, utilizing durable materials that keep it lightweight without feeling cheap. The 3-axis motors are snappy and responsive, providing smooth pans and tilts even when you are moving quickly to keep up with a shot.
Day-to-Day Experience
Setting up the device is straightforward, and the inclusion of a tripod and Type-C cable makes it ready to go right out of the box. While there is a slight learning curve to mastering the AI face tracking modes, once you get the hang of it, the convenience for solo vlogging is unmatched.
This is an excellent choice for TikTok creators, travel vloggers, and mobile filmmakers who need a portable and reliable way to capture cinematic shots on the go.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the SmartXE is a solid investment for anyone looking to professionalize their mobile video, earning a well-deserved 4.66 out of 5 rating. With its accessible $109.00 price point and reliable feature set, it is a smart addition to any creator's kit in 2026.
